Concert of Tones and Colours
Concert of Tones and Colours is a unique artistic performance that brings together two worlds – music and visual art.
The main protagonists, composer and pianist Jiří Pazour and painter Olga Volfová, create live artistic impressions that intertwine sound and colour into one shared experience.
The evening is based on mutual improvisation and inspiration.
As the music unfolds, the painter creates her artwork in real time, while the pianist responds with spontaneous musical improvisation inspired by the emerging painting.
Each performance gives rise to completely new pieces – both musical and visual – shaped by the artists' emotions, the chosen themes, and the atmosphere of the moment.
In the second part of the concert, the audience becomes part of the creative process, suggesting themes that the artists immediately transform into new artistic expressions.
The audience witnesses the very process of creation – observing how music influences the painter's brushstrokes, and how the developing painting, in turn, inspires the music.
Every concert is unique and unrepeatable.
New music and new paintings are born in the present moment, united by one shared essence – mutual artistic inspiration.
The performance is accompanied by spoken commentary from both artists and is suitable for theatres and cultural venues equipped with a grand piano.
